BTPTC and NEA Dengue Joint Operation In Bishan East

At 9am on a sunny Saturday morning, some 100 NEA & BTPTC staff and volunteers gathered in Bishan East for our second Dengue Joint Operation in Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC.

Covering Blks 101-197, 501-514 in the division, including Bishan Town and Neighbourhood Centres, the 4-hour mozzie wipeout exercise was successfully completed at all 125 blocks, with objectives met.

Working in smaller teams of 1 to 3 pax across the 6 zones, each team focused on a different area of work, with compliance to Covid-19 safety guidelines. As NEA and TC staff engaged residents on door-to-door advisory and checks, other teams simultaneously carried out a full spectrum of works: search & destroy, oiling & desilting, focus areas cleaning & sweeping, ground checks & poster walkabouts etc.

With the safety and well-being of residents as our top priority, this joint operation aims to create a safe and mozzie-free neighbourhood for Bishan East residents.
